I was trying to organize my computer a little bit and stumbled across some old photos that I took 5 years ago while on a medical trip to India. For 3 weeks, I traveled through Jaipur, Agra, Rishikesh, Dehli, and Mumbai with a group of students to learn more about the healthcare system and culture of India. This trip actually happened to be the birth of several dreams – my desire to be involved in public health, and it also reminded me how much I truly loved photography as a child, when I used to read books about photographing the weather and the stars. These photos certainly aren’t anything fancy – it was back when I had just my basic 35mm canon rebel (yes, I once was a canon user…) and before I even knew what photoshop was. But what I love is the story that these images tell and the memories that they stir inside me. I have come so far in just 5 years and I am anxious to see where I will be 5 years from now. Remember – follow your passions, be true to yourself and your character (though I understand all too well how difficult it is to maintain your good nature when others will so easily step on you as they try to climb their way upwards), take risks, go out and explore the world..
