Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

I actually spent a good portion of yesterday trying to track down some kind of ridiculous Easter bunny costume to dress my dog in and use that as my blog post for today.  A few hours later and no success, I gave up and came home so I could start uploading the photos from the family session I had that afternoon.  While going through the images it dawned on me that the point of Easter is to spend time with our loved ones and so I decided to post a few images of little Rylee and her Moo.  After spending time with Rylee and Maddux (aka ‘Moo’), it was very clear that these two are best friends.  I watched as they danced around to celebrate her return from nappy time; they enjoyed snacks and kisses together; they went on a rampage destroying mini cars and stuffed toys (I say that very loosely, I just love that the fisheye looks like a giant baby and her dog pillaging a small town LOL!); and then Moo was a good sport as he let his BFF dress him up in her jewelry.

And so, with that being said, Happy Easter to you all and if you don’t celebrate then be sure to spend some extra quality time with those you love today because you don’t have to be any particular religion or culture to enjoy that  🙂

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
