…. is like winning the lottery. If you book a winter session with us you really never know if we’ll catch a day that’s cold enough for the frost to cover the trees but warm enough to go outside, a powdery snowfall to dust the ground, or even better an actual snowfall – but that always seems to be the hope. In fact, most times it’s so unpredictable that you don’t even know it’s going to happen until the day of and even then, will it happen at the same time you’ve scheduled your session? But despite the rare odds, that’s exactly what happened for this family. When I woke up the day of William’s 3 moth session (remember him as a newborn?) I literally gasped as I looked out the window to find that it was snowing. And not just any snow but the absolute best kind. The kind where the snowflakes are big and fluffy, and happens when it’s the warmest it can be for snow to even occur (I’d say about in the upper 30’s/low 40’s). We didn’t stay out too long but just enough to enjoy a stroll through the park and then headed to a local green house to keep warm. After finding sanctuary among the greenery, we headed back home to spend time with Naismith & Shiloh and of course finished up with nap time (I just can’t resist catching the little ones when they fall fast asleep!).
Anyway thank you so much to William’s family for inviting me out to capture him at 3 months, I’m so excited to spend the next year watching you grow 🙂 (and if you are interested in being put on an ‘on-all-list’ for when it snows and I’m looking for a family to shoot outside with, email me at info@simplybysuzy.com with the subject titled SNOW ON-CALL WAIT LIST)
