Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

The other weekend this family and I spent the early early morning at the beach, and then hung out at home for a bit afterward to relax.  Although I am so the opposite of an early bird, the sparkly morning light is beyond worth it to me and my camera (and chances are you’re probably a client who I’ve sent to this blog post to convince you of that too ;)).

I was also totally delighted to spend time catching up with these four, as the last time I saw them they were but only a group of three.  Now Elliott has a little brother and he’s already turning one.. *sigh*

Anyway here are just some of my favorites from our time together.  Thank you so much, Elliott, Will and your mom & dad for inviting me out to capture your love, and an even bigger thank you for the brownies.  They made for a sweet breakfast when I got home after our play date.

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
