I'm Suzy of Simply by Suzy, and I'm so happy you're here at my blog because I can't wait to serve you with lots of good stuff like a peek into all of my favorite photoshoots for clients, freebies and resources on motherhood, how to get more connected with your life, and how to take beautiful pictures of it.
Since starting my business, sadly I haven’t had much time to participate in photography forums or get to know many other photographers; however, while casually posting something on Flickr a year ago I came across a few women who also do family/kids/baby work and have been chatting with them online ever since. Once I found out that one of them was due to have twins and that the other would be flying in to visit and photograph the birth, we all agreed that it would be the perfect opportunity for us to finally meet up. I had no idea that these women who I had been talking online to for so long would be as awesome as their work is, and that the internet could bring me such great friends from both sides of the country. For 3 days they opened up their hearts and home to me as we spent our time photographing the twins, William & Bradley, chatting about life & photography, and pigging out on golden oreos. Needless to say I felt such a strong sense of heart ache as I boarded my plane home (as you probably know all too well, good friends are few and far between) but it comforts me to know that they are only a mouse click or phone call away :o)
Thank you so so SO much Rachael, Melissa & Marcela for being so kind to me during my stay and congratulations Melissa on double the blessing that’s been added to your family! I miss you all and those oreos already!! (and if you have time, do yourself a favor and click on each of their names in order to view their own photography!)

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these! Thank you so much for capturing the other moments besides the babies. I am in love with the hide and seek photo! *sigh* fabulous!!!
It was wonderful to meet you in person. I can’t wait for our next meeting, perhaps in Chi-town! So glad to call you a friend!
Adorable! These are great!
Oh…this just made me so happy! I love it. Absolutely LOVE it. I am so glad we finally had a chance to meet and that we all just clicked so well. I am racking my brain trying to think of where we could go next to visit, laugh, eat and talk photos.
Oh my! I’m speechless and teary-eyed. These are so beyond awesome!!! It was great to meet you and introduce you to the goodness that are Golden Oreos. 🙂 And, I agree with Melissa, Chi-town would make for an awesome “next meeting place.”
They are so cute! I love the poutie faces! As always you do amazing work!
