Meet Maya Rachel and Aidan Jon, born March 23, 2010 at a teeny tiny 5 lbs, 10 oz and 4 lb, 10 oz. I don’t have much experience photographing twin newborns so their mama, Joy, was so kind enough as to let me get some experience with her sweet little bundles! These babes were literally all smiles – all morning. Although I really enjoyed our session, photographing Maya & Aidan made me extra excited for the Baby As Art workshop that I’m going to be attending at the end of the month (can you tell they are a HUGE inspiration for my work?! as much as I’d love to take credit for all their amazing ideas.. ha kidding of course). I feel as though I’m getting stuck in a rut with my limitations in newborn posing and, in general, I’m beyond psyched to meet so many other talented individuals in my field. I’ve always felt that surrounding yourself with those who share your passions and dreams is the best way to push yourself forward and spark that inspiration and creativity!
