Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

I don’t share many events I photograph, not sure why.. but I thought this was a good one to start with 🙂

This slideshow features highlights from Kona’s Greek baptism, which took place at my favorite Greek Orthodox church – St. Andrew’s.  Once you look through the slideshow I think you’ll agree that it goes without explanation how ornate and beautiful these ceremonies are.  Best of all it is such a refreshing change of pace to be welcomed, as a photographer, with such incredibly kind and enthusiastic church personnel when it comes to documenting all of the traditions that go along with a greek baby blessing. Oh, and I think Kona is the first baby I’ve ever seen or known of to not cry while being dunked in the water.. way to go big guy!

Anyway, enjoy some of my favorites below from my time with Kona and his family at his baptism, and most importantly of all, a BIG thank you to his family for allowing me the privilege of documenting such a big day for him!

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
