I'm Suzy of Simply by Suzy, and I'm so happy you're here at my blog because I can't wait to serve you with lots of good stuff like a peek into all of my favorite photoshoots for clients, freebies and resources on motherhood, how to get more connected with your life, and how to take beautiful pictures of it.
A friend once told her children a story about an unwanted family house guest who was often rude, crude, mean, made poor decisions that their family wouldn’t approve of but for some reason never asks to leave. That unwanted house guest was the television.
I tell this story because just recently Vasili and I made the decision to cancel our cable and push ourselves to go out to enjoy real life more. It’s been exactly one week and, though hard at times, I couldn’t be happier. We’ve been cooking together and going on walks with the dogs through the park more often, spending more time with friends and *gasp* being more productive at home.
I dare you to try it, even if just for a month – at the very least, you’ll save yourselves a cable bill 🙂

I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea at all. It may take some convincing of my husband though. Gorgeous images and way to take time and enjoy life <3
it was the opposite for us.. i was the one who had to be forced to call the cable company finally lol I have a really bad addiction to reality TV and it’s hard to give up!! but i’ve been feeling so much better lately and less distracted, it’s strange bc I didn’t think it would affect me this much (or maybe placebo? either way it feels so gooooood!) thanks for the sweet words jill 🙂
I love this! You and Vasili have such a beautiful life together…so happy you share the love with us.
That’s great! I didn’t have cable for 5 years. I didn’t know what Sex in the City was until 2008, lol.
funny you mention SITC Ashley, that’s all I watch now when I have nothing else to do… SITC season DVDs over and over… (well, when Vasili isn’t home, I feel too bad to subject him to it haha)
love the post! hope we get to see you soon. xo Michelle
