chicago newborn photographers | sweet lily pie
With pleasure I welcome another Bump Club cutie – meet sweet little 2-month old Lily! Although Vasili and I normally do our newborn sessions between 5-10 days after birth, when Lily’s mama first contacted us about trying our usual ‘sleepy, dreamy baby session’ I was both excited and nervous because obviously there is a huge difference between a week old newborn and a 2-month old baby. We’re always up for a challenge so we said of course we would give it a try! Not only did Lily sleep nice and soundly for us during our time together but being a touch older allowed us to have even more fun with the family portion of it, her personality was really shining through! I’m convinced that even at 2 months old, Lily LOVED having her photograph taken. Check out a sneak peek of our time together that day and I’d say the proof is in the puddin’ judging by Lily’s big smiles 🙂

wow! She bended and slept like a brand new newborn! And Mom looks fantastic for just having a baby 8 weeks ago!!!
I am the mom in these photos, so thanks for the comment on me looking great after having just had the baby– that certainly helps my morale!
And more importantly, how awesome are these shots!? It is amazing what Suzy and Vasili pulled off- Suzy is like a born baby whisperer and Vasili is such a great partner in crime and baby lover as well. They were super impressive with how well they worked together, moved Lily and her surroundings around while keeping her sound asleep and pulling off newborn photos of a not-newborn which every other photographer I reached out to shied away from.
Well done guys– you made my regret fade away, of not getting newborn shots done after a tumultuous labor– and for me, that is priceless.
Adorable! I love the wide eyed shots, but I’m super impressed with the sleepy baby poses. Love that last shot!
