I had the BEST time getting to know this family better last month as we had a session to capture their sweet little Lucy. We started off watching the sun rise at the beach, we walked over to the park to finish up and then I followed them back home for story time before putting Lucy down for her afternoon nap. I think my favorite moment of the day was during story time when mom was reading a book to Lucy about how she will love her for the rest of her life, no matter what – she will love her happy face, and even love her sad face (though after our time together it seems Lucy only has a happy face lol). It was also a book about acceptance of others and not judging your peers for the circumstances of which they come from or the choices they make about their life. It’s okay to need some help, it’s okay to be a different color, it’s okay to talk about your feelings, it’s okay to make a wish.. I thought to myself, what a great message to send to your little ones every day 🙂
Anyway, here were some of my favorites from our morning together. Thank you so much to Lucy and her family for not only waking up at the crack of dawn to enjoy the beautiful sunrise with me, but for also letting me be a part of your family, even if but for a few hours 🙂
