I'm Suzy of Simply by Suzy, and I'm so happy you're here at my blog because I can't wait to serve you with lots of good stuff like a peek into all of my favorite photoshoots for clients, freebies and resources on motherhood, how to get more connected with your life, and how to take beautiful pictures of it.
It feels like just last week that I visited good friends to help them capture the arrival of their second little one, Knox. And while I love all the families I work with, this bunch is extra special for me to visit as I’ve been photographing them and Knox’s mom’s sister’s family (confused yet?) for over two years now. I can’t believe how much has changed even just since the last time we did photos.. and the time before that…
And I felt that passage of time once again when I revisited baby Knox and his family once he was three months old. We waited for a nice day out and got together at the park for playtime and more pics. And I think while he looks a lot like his big brother, I think Knox looks SO much like his mom already (as she says, ‘finally!’ :)).
Anyway here are but some of my favorites of our afternoon together. Congrats again G family on baby #2 and I can’t wait to come back in no time for when he’s 6 months old! XO
above left: at first I skipped over this picture because I caught a distracting car in the behind. And then I realized that the car wasn’t so distracting and rather a pretty good fit alongside a boy running around and just being a boy lol
above: I love baby profiles. I love forehead touches. Nuff’ said 🙂
above: attack of the monster baby!!! 😉
above: kids in Patagonia = awesome. I love the texture of the fleece!
above: we joked that Knox looked like a little Grover in his ADORABLE bright blue Patagonia fleece. I’m almost tempted to buy one of these in hopes that one day I have a baby boy to dress up in it 🙂
above: I just loved how relaxed Knox looked as he enjoyed a bottle snack. His sweet lips are what inspired me to pull my camera back out from my bag for a shot, even though we had already finished the session.
above: the shots I push myself to take even after I’ve said ‘We’re done,’ are always among my favorites.

Love these Suzy, especially the one of the baby smiling at dad – what a great moment you captured. I always love your lifestyle work!
