Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

Not sure why my friends always seem to get left to last.. but I am long overdue for a blog post to share Naja & Manu’s love story 🙂

Last summer I did a little beloved session to help these two celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary, and then again we met up this past Spring to snap a few pictures of them with their little ones.  It’s very interesting to look back at all of these images and see the different roles that Naja & Manu in each other’s lives exemplified in these pictures.. husband & wife, parents, and best friends 🙂

Anyway, I’ll let you see what I mean for yourself as I’ve shared some of my favorite images from each session below.  Thank you Naja for not only inviting me the capture your family and the special love you share with Manu, it is a huge honor whenever any one extends this privilege to me but especially a fellow photographer whose work I admire.  And most importantly, thank you for your friendship and all the delicious cups of coffee you’ve shared with me while we pour our hearts out to each other about photography and life XO

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
