(inhale) “Tooooooooooot..” (exhale) (inhale) babiiieeeees.” (exhale)

That’s Iris’ new thing. I’m sure my internet impersonation hardly does her any justice, but it is the cutest stinkin’ thing ever how she says each word in a separate breath.

Vasili and I visited our farm friends recently and this time Iris is talking a little bit now and she is obsessed with babies. Baby animals, baby people – the girl loves babies.  So much in fact that once she figured out that there are practically oodles of cute babies in my iPad photos she kept wanting me to sit down with her and go through all the pictures of babies and kiddos.  We would scroll through baby Penelope’s photos and she’d say (while pointing to each person in the photograph) “Mama… dada… hahaha tooot [cute] baby!” or another favorite of hers was looking at these pictures.  She kept pointing to Maren’s big brother and saying “cuuuute”   After a while of looking through what felt like hundreds of pictures I’d finally distract her and get up to do something, and sure enough she’d come tugging up on my pant leg eventually, look up at me and almost pleadingly say in two breaths “Toooooot, babies!” pointing in the direction of my ipad.

I love that even at 2 years old we already know exactly what we want.. 🙂

Anyway it was kind of cold and dreary out so we did a lot more relaxing and not so much picture takin’ this time around but stay tuned because word on the farm is that the baby goats are almost ready to be born so you know what that means.. another excuse for a vacation with friends 😉
