Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

Vasili and I had a newborn shoot yesterday, it was a usual day of work…  We worked with baby Lydia in an 88 degree room for 2.5 hours (add a couple of poops and pees in the mix and these are our usual working conditions ha!), and then munched on some of the most amazing chocolate croissants while everyone freshened up for family photos.  We took a couple of pictures of sweet Lydia with her older brother Jonathan and then the family as a whole, and then I finished up with pictures of just mom and dad with their new love.  As I clicked away, my ADD started to pull my mind away into the other room where slowly a roar of laughter became louder and louder in my ears.  I walked out of the room and slowly peeked around the corner, where I found Vasili juggling Doggy, Baby Monkey, and Big Monkey as Jonathan danced around him laughing hysterically.  While I love the photos that I take for clients to help them preserve their memories, these are the memories that I cherish the most and want to remember long after they’re over.  So thank you to my clients for not only inviting us to build their albums and memory books but also to them for helping us build ours 🙂

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
