So this is essentially what Vasili and I arrived to when we first entered this family’s home for baby William’s newborn session (I think it’s a pretty good indicator of how wonderful the rest of the session was).  No fancy hair, make up or outfits – just the most beautiful scene of mom breastfeeding her little guy with Shiloh peacefully snuggled up next to them in the early morning light.  While the sleepy dreamy newborn photos are oh-so adorable and will never fail to make you smile, these are the moments that I anticipate clients looking back on and feeling like hiring us to capture their life & love at one point in time was the best investment they’ve ever made 🙂

Also we’d like to say an extra special thank you to William’s grandma who treated us like Kings & Queens that day as she spoiled us with her beyond amazing cooking talents.  I’m talkin’ the whole 9 yards – a gourmet pasta salad, soup and she even sent us home with the most drool worthy white chocolate chip cookies (of which I’ve been enjoying with my morning coffee at breakfast for the past week mmmmmmhmmmm trying to figure out what’s a girl gotta do to get some more of those!).  Yes, we are totally vain artists and when we feel appreciated and valued it absolutely drives us to push ourselves just that little extra bit 🙂

*sigh* William even had a teeny tiny heart imprinted on his lip to reflect the big heart that I know he’s already inherited from his mom & dad 🙂

Oh and did I mention William’s grammy also is an amazing knitter?? (see the two images below for just some of her adorable creations!) I loved these little hats so much I’ve already ordered a few things from her to use in our future sessions 🙂
