Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

So there’s this stranger that I’ve been dying to get to know over the past few years but have always been a  little intimidated to do so.  That stranger being twitter.

Along with honing in on my photography skills/style, over the last couple of years I’ve been forced to also teach myself how to be a web designer, customer relations specialist, blogger, html writer, graphic designer, marketer… well, you get the idea.  And although I’ve also greatly expanded my knowledge of social media (ie, Facebook), twitter is one area of social networking that I have long put off.  I don’t know if it’s laziness or fear of the unknown, or the delusion that twitter is really confusing or difficult… lol But today I decided to end this and will now officially be present on twitter.  I’m still not quite sure how I want to use it but I figured setting up an account with a custom background and posting a few tweets is a good place to start 🙂 And without further ado.. I introduce Simply by Suzy. Photographer, web designer, graphic design artist, custom relations specialist, marketer, and now… tweeter.

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
