The other day I spent with my friend, Megan, at her horse farm in what felt like a real-life Ralph Lauren Polo ad. I told her that as a kid I was obsessed with those giant creatures and dreamt of being able to ride them (though unfortunately it was an expensive hobby I just couldn’t ever afford). So she invited me over to check out the farm, spend some time in nature with her, Chapelle (her dog), Grant & Damien (the horses) before the snow and cold came. As I watched the horses go from their stable to the field, I couldn’t help but take note of their size and strength. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I know horses are big but it’s as if I somehow forgot how truly magnificent they are. There’s also something I really envy about them – being able to ride free, the wind through their mane and no one to tell them what to do, what to think, how to be…

ohhhh, pretty light!!! I have always wanted to ride/own horses!!! Just one more thing that would make us perfect friends 🙂
beautiful! i just love the one of her laying her head on the white horse. they truly are magnificent! i’ve always loved horses, and while i love to ride, they do make me a little nervous. i’m afraid they could feel that. one day i hope to have a horse of my own! :o)
