Hi, I'm Suzy, a photographer, mentor and mom of 3. I'm so glad you're here.

The other weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous mama-to-be and her growing family.  What is now just mama, papa and Roscoe will soon be mama, papa, Roscoe and baby boy as of December.  I actually am friends with both Tony & Kim and met them during my undergrad at Loyola through mutual friends.  I was SO beyond thrilled when Kim told me that she was expecting (I’m already envisioning the equally gorgeous babies that they are going to make in all the years to come!) and even more excited when she asked me to do some photos for her.  I recently saw Kim (and baby!) back in June while in Ireland and I can’t believe how much her belly and the life inside have grown in even just 4 months!

Thank you so much for inviting me out to photograph your beautiful belly Kim and a BIG congratulations to you both, I know I’ll be counting down the days until Vasili and I get to meet the little man!! <3

… and for the sake of reminiscing back to good memories, here’s a photo I caught of Tony & Kim shakin’ it on the dance floor at the wedding in Ireland. As I mentioned before, isn’t it crazy how much the baby in her belly has grown in such a short amount of time?  I love my job for reminding me the beauty of life and how miraculous of an event pregnancy & birth truly is!

The Artist

Suzzane
brown

For nearly two decades, I’ve worked with individuals and families who understand the value of time. And the importance of preserving it well.

My work centers on creating living archives: carefully composed records of a life as it’s being lived. Not performances. Not surface moments. But the relationships, environments, and details that define a legacy.

I approach each commission with the eye of an artist and the discipline of a documentarian. Listening closely. Observing deeply. Shaping work that is meant to endure. Crafted on film, finished as heirloom objects, and designed to be held in your hands, lived with in the home, and passed down in your private family vault.

This is not photography for the present moment.

It is art made in service of memory, history, and the generations that follow.
