… there was a time that sparkly shoes were enough to make life seem new and exciting? I think that one of the reasons I love kids so much is because they’re how I wish we all could be.. they are the purest form of humanity. They haven’t been yet jaded by pain or malice, they feel unadulterated emotion and love freely. They are so innocent and they find wonder and fascination in the simplest things – like walking around in their brand new shoes.

Behind the Camera
My name is Suzy and for the last 18 years I've had the absolute honor and privilege of photographing families during their life's greatest moments in Chicago and all around the world (and I have the smile lines to prove it). I absolutely love photography, and I am extremely good at what I do. But my absolute best and most important work is being able to help people connect with their families. So they can see and appreciate of all of things that are so wonderful about their life.
